Foreign Students

Cornwall Aviation has extensive experience working with foreign students who come to Canada for flight training. We have trained students from many countries, including Tahiti, Singapore, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Scotland, and Madagascar.

If you are not a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant, you will be required to obtain various permits including a Student Visa, prior to coming to Canada for flight training. The Student Visa must be applied for in your home country. It is not available from within Canada.

You may obtain a Student Visa application from the nearest Canadian Embassy, Consulate, or High Commission in your country. We recommend that you apply for your Student Visa as soon as possible, prior to your planned departure for Canada, as it can take considerable time to find out if your application is successful and receive your required documents. We cannot train foreign students who do not have the necessary Visas and permits to study in Canada.

Cornwall and the surrounding area offer reasonably priced apartments or room and board arrangements. Many of our students stay in a local motel with an efficiency kitchen. We can assist you in locating suitable housing.

Flying in Canada is fun and exciting! Our scenery is second to none and the four seasons offer many flying experiences not found in other countries. For further information it is preferable to email your requests, giving your flight experience and the course you wish to pursue.
